Project Spotlight - Glamour Hair Boutique
Glamour Hair Boutique in Albany recently changed ownership. Kylie, the new owner, was referred to me by a mutual friend. We met for coffee to discuss her design needs. That was the beginning of Glamour Hair Boutique's branding transformation.
The salon at Unit G, 33 Triton Drive, Albany changed hands early this year. Kylie kept the salon name but wanted the new visuals to better reflect herself, and her clientele. The renovations took 9 days (whaaat? So quick and SO good). I had the pleasure of working on the new look and designs while renovations went underway. The new salon is amazing!
Kylie's brief was clear and one that I immediately connected with. She wanted a logo that was modern and classy but nothing that would date too quickly. She also wanted something that she was able to work into her own printed material. It wasn't stipulated that the majority of the design was to be black and white, but it evolved that way. Often the design will take the logo's lead.
Kylie requested a logo, outdoor signage, business card, share the love (referral) card, service menu, service loyalty card, product loyalty card and DLE flyer advert.
The geometric patterns on the loyalty cards were inspired by the hand blown glass globe lights in the salon (see photos). The clean black and white graphics will marry well with images or colour in future designs. If you can't tell, I'm a sucker for clean, simple design.
I admire Kylie's vision and execution of the salon, it looks fabulous! I know her and the girls are in high demand as hairdressers. Bookings roll in constantly, so get in quick and book online at www.glamourhairboutuque.co.nz. Website designed by phatjme.com.
